The Arts Center at Duck Creek once again invites our community to join us in celebration of collaboration and community, for our second annual DRAWaTHON FUNDRAISER!
• BENEFIT EVENT AND EXHIBIT PREVIEW: Friday, August 23, 5-7:30 pm (Rain Date: August 25)
• BENEFIT EXHIBIT HOURS: Saturday, August 24 - Sunday, August 25, 2 - 6pm
• EXQUISITE CORPSE DRAWaTHON SESSIONS: Friday, August 16, 4:00 - 5:30pm or 6:00 - 7:30pm.
2024 is the 100th Anniversary of Surrealism, and in honor of the occasion, we have invited artists from near and far to create Exquisite Corpse drawings for our Benefit Exhibition and Sale. The Exquisite Corpse is a game popularized by surrealists like Max Ernst and Andre Breton in the 1930s, in which each artist executes one section of a drawing without seeing their fellow collaborator’s contributions. Over 100 artists have already begun working on their Corpse drawings!
Our ticketed Benefit Event will honor former East Hampton Town Supervisor, Peter Van Scoyoc, who provided the support that brought the Arts Center at Duck Creek to fruition.
One ticket includes early access to our EXQUISITELY affordable collaborative drawings ($250 each) by some of your favorite Duck Creek Alum and local artists. This relaxing evening will also include light fare from Harbor Market, live music and libations from Stonecrop Wines and Springs Brewery. Funds from ticket and artwork sales will support Duck Creek’s free programming in the coming year. CAPACITY IS LIMITED SO GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!

If you are an artist interested in participating in our Exquisite Corpse fundraiser, join us for an Artist Salon Drawing Party on the afternoon of Friday, August 16th. This FREE event is a unique opportunity to meet fellow artists while you create and complete Exquisite Corpse drawings for our fundraiser (all drawings are donated to Duck Creek). Refreshments will be served!
